On or about 27 July 2026, the Government intends to issue a solicitation for Gavins Point Raw Water Intake Zebra Mussel Mitigation. The solicitation will close on or about 26 August 2026. The solicitation is restricted to Small Businesses. Site Visit: A Site Visit will be scheduled and additional information regarding the site visit will be provided in the solicitation via Section 00 21 00.Project Description: The contractor will supply all labor, equipment, and materials for installation of a new zebra mussel mitigation system. The scope of this project is to design a zebra mussel abatement system to protect the powerhouse raw water intakes and intake piping. The new design will utilize two small, local skids with spill containment near each raw water strainer within the powerhouse.Significant features of this design include:- Installation of two local tank skids and integral spill containment pallets- Installation of two pump skids for distribution? Power supply to distribution pumps and ancillary distribution system equipment- Interfacing of distribution pumps with the existing raw water flow metersThe Contractor will be required to commence work upon receipt of contract award and complete the work 210 days after receipt of Notice to Proceed, this is subject to change after solicitation issuance.
